HOW TO SET UP AND MAKE YOUR FIRST DRINK
Get excited to make your first espresso! Once you’ve filled the tank with water and put in your choice of beans, you’re ready to go.
TURN IT ON & INSTALL THE WATER FILTER
Turn on your espresso machine and follow the prompts on the screen. Install the filter and test your water hardness.
FILL THE WATER TANK & BEAN HOPPER
Fill the tank with water from the tap. Put your favorite beans into the hopper and lock it into place.
SELECT YOUR CUP & CONNECT THE MILK CONTAINER
Place your cup directly under the nozzles on the drip tray. Connect the hose that’s linked to the dispenser to your milk container.
CHOOSE YOUR DRINK & PRESS PLAY
Select your drink and customize it to your preferences. You can save your settings to your user profile for future drinks or continue to experiment to find the perfect brew for you.

POWER SWITCH
Use the switch on the side of the machine to turn it on and off.
REMOVABLE BEAN HOPPER
Simply twist and lift to easily remove the bean hopper to empty, exchange or refill with fresh beans to suit your taste.
PRE-GROUND COFFEE BYPASS
Use the pre-ground coffee bypass chute to skip what’s in your grinder and get a quick change of something new.
2.2L WATER TANK
The 2.2 L water tank makes up to 20 espresso shots in a single fill or the ability to make taller drinks without refilling often.*

DRIP TRAY
The large capacity removable drip tray design makes cleaning easy with a built-in ‘empty me’ notification.
DISPENSER
The illuminated adjustable dispenser has a cup clearance of up to 5.4" so you can enjoy a single espresso, large americano, or anything in between.
MILK TUBE
The tube attaches to the milk container so the machine can steam, heat or froth the milk for you.
ENDLESS WAYS TO CUSTOMIZE
Create up to 4 user profiles with shortcuts to your go-to drinks and customized favorites. Adjust the strength, temperature, order of milk or coffee, and size of your drinks, to match your precise tastes.

HOW TO CLEAN AND CARE FOR YOUR MACHINE
To keep your espresso machine working at its best, you’ll get into a routine of care. Don’t worry, as you’ll be prompted to clean it by the indicator light when needed.
RINSE THE DRIP TRAY
Empty and rinse out the drip tray with soap and water (not in the dishwasher).
CLEAN THE FROTHER
‘Easy milk rinsing’ keeps the milk frother clean (instructions are on the display).
CLEAR OUT BEANS
‘Purge beans’ clears out remaining grounds when you change beans, to make sure taste isn’t compromised.
CLEAN BREW UNIT
Clean the brew unit when prompted to remove coffee buildup.
WIPE THE EXTERIOR
Clean the exterior by wiping over with a damp cloth, or products for stainless steel.
DESCALE THE MACHINE
‘Descale’ the machine when prompted by the blinking descale light.
CLEAN MILK SYSTEM
‘Deep milk clean’ will fully clean the system monthly (instructions on the display).
CHANGE THE FILTER
The water filter can be replaced after each 50 L of water - about 4 times a year.
WATCH, BREW, SIP
1 OR 2 CUPS
If you’d like 2 espressos at once, select the “2x” option and place 2 cups under the dispenser (note: for milk-based options, make 1 only).
AUTOMATIC MILK DRINKS
Simply place the milk hose into a separate milk container of your choice* and create personalized milk drinks with the touch of a button. Note: Do not use plant-based alternatives.
*Use any milk carton or container when creating milky drinks. The KitchenAid Milk Container can be purchased as an optional accessory if desired.
BEANS OR PRE-GROUND COFFEE
As well as grinding your own whole bean coffee (in the bean hopper), you have the option to add pre-ground directly into the coffee grounds shaft.
TIPS FOR YOUR ESPRESSO MACHINE
MAKE 4-5 TEST CUPS
When you first use your machine, prime it by making 4 or 5 drinks.
BUY COFFEE IN SMALL PACKS
It should be recently roasted and stored in a cool, dark, dry container.
ADJUST GRIND FINENESS
You can choose finer for light roasts and coarser for dark roasts.
YOU CAN SUIT YOUR TASTE
Customize the strength, temperature, order of milk or coffee, body, and volume of coffee and milk in the drink settings.
