HOW TO SET UP AND MAKE YOUR FIRST DRINK
Get excited to make your first espresso! Once you’ve filled the tank with water and put in your choice of beans, you’re ready to go.

PREP THE MACHINE
Add the filter and fill the water tank with water. Note: Priming pump is only used if the water tank is full and the water drop icon continues flashing. If water drop icon is not flashing continue to 'Extract your Espresso'.

EXTRACT YOUR ESPRESSO
Fill the bean hopper and place a basket into the portafilter. Grind, tamp and then choose your desired brew mode. Make a few test shots to perfect this.

STEAM YOUR MILK
Select 'Steam' mode and fill your jug half way. Insert the steam wand at an angle and steam the milk until the jug feels hot to the touch. Then, pour it over your espresso.

EXPERIMENT WITH LATTE ART
Tiny bubbles in the foamed milk add texture to your latte. Depending on the drink, you can add more or less volume.

TIPS FOR USING YOUR NEW ESPRESSO MACHINE

REFINING THE TASTE
If the espresso is too bitter for your tastes, use a coarser grind. If you’d like a richer taste, use a finer grind.

BUY COFFEE IN SMALL PACKS
It should be recently roasted and stored in a cool, dark, dry container.

PREHEAT CUPS AND FILTER BASKETS FOR THE BEST AROMA
You can use the steam wand.

NO DISTILLED OR MINERAL WATER
Both can damage the machine. Fill the water tank with tap water and replace the filter as needed.

TAMP THE COFFEE
Use firm, even pressure until it matches the mark in the filter basket.
