Rated 5 out of 5 by One who Bakes from Beautiful Bowl I got my glass mixing bowl 10+ years ago. I absolutely love this bowl and have had no problems with it. It’s heavy duty and well made. I use my mixer at least once a week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kaththee from Surprisingly Good I read a few negative reviews about this bowl shattering but I still bought it. When I did I figured I would just use it for display. I paid an artist well over 2k to paint my mini KA and no way was I displaying it with that ugly stainless bowl. So for awhile I didn't use it. I am glad I waited until I really knew the mixer. If you fail to make sure to lock the bowl into place it will rock and if one also neglected to lock the head I am sure the two factors could equal a catastrophic break. So the first time I used the bowl I was in a pinch, with the stainless one already used. I was careful and lo and behold, I had not problems. So months later I find myself using the glass bowl more than reaching for the stainless in storage. I haven't had any problems. I am very careful to make sure both the bowl and the head are in a locked position. The glass bowl is not only more attractive than the stainless, you can also see if any ingredients are stuck in the bottom of the bowl which is an issue with this mixer in both bowls. I love this bowl and just wish KA sold the pretty speciality bowls they offer in the 5 quart. One of the best things about the KA 3.5 mixer is that it is small enough to keep on display so why not sell pretty bowls to coordinate with it. I especially would like a copper bowl. All in all, I can't recommend this bowl enough especially if you plan to display your mixer.

I have not had a problem with stuff mixing, no chipping and I am not a “light” baker. Girl Meets Farm uses this exact set up and she has for quite awhile.

This bowl is very functional with its Measurements on the bowl and clear glass to observe the mixing of your goodies...Lets not forget the pouring spout. I just Love it. Remember its glass....
