This Stainless Steel 3 Piece Kit includes a dough hook, flat beater and wire whip for all of your mixing tasks. Rated 5 out of 5 by KitchenaidVETERAN from Finally, the REAL DEAL, AMAZING! I recently purchased these attachments directly from Kitchenaid, not some Amazon knock-off, piece of counterfeit junk. These are excellent. These are heavy-duty, no-nonsense, American-designed quality. I should have bought these seventeen years ago for my mixer, as I have replaced the aluminum attachments "white" powder coated type multiple times, including a few times from Kitchenaid. I use my mixer almost everyday, and I knew that even the authentic ones would ultimately wear out. Those who have experienced the "white" attachments breaking down. They will. I suspect replacing them with these is the best solution. But, I don't suggest leaving a negative review of the "white" or aluminum ones on this particular page, as these are not the pieces of counterfeit junk bought from some random website.

It would have been better if KitchenAid included them with the mixer in the first place, though. Even if the coating is safe, stainless steel is just better, IMO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Loom33 from Here's why the aluminum breaks down now. Do some research and stop blaming KitchenAid. The original parts are fine but it is not advisable to put them in the dishwasher, mainly because many detergents have removed phosphates. The phosphates helped keep aluminum items from breaking down. Had noticed a couple of years ago that anything we had with aluminum parts from meat tenderizers, utensils, to our mixer parts were suddenly turning gray and powdery. Did some research and found this out.

I understand everyone is used to getting stainless steel these days. However, I have had my professional matte gray machine for over 23 years and it still gets used every single day. I bake, a lot. This unit sits on my counter or within reach of it and has been the workhorse of my kitchen. My now 21 year old daughter is looking to get her first kitchenAid for herself and her boyfriend to use. I hope they get as many years out of their machine as I have. I understand these machines are expensive, yes they can be a bit loud, and no they don't come with the stainless steel attachments but at the cost of $17.00 a year which is what mine has cost me over the 23.00 years and yes I paid the same price for mine 23 years ago that you are paying now. So I say they are doing an excellent job providing the best quality machine I have ever had the privilege of using in my home. And I have bought many of the add on attachments over the years and they have all been worth the money. Maybe after you have a machine as long as some of us who are KitchenAid Users for life you will understand. You get what you pay for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AWCL from My beater turned Greyish and Powdery! I purchased the professional HD mixer from Costco few years ago. I love it until my husband accidentally put the flat beater in dishwasher. The beater turned greyish and powdery which is for sure not safe to use anymore. Then I researched it online and found out that so many people have the same problem. So sad, I can't use it anymore! I found this 3-pcs set is stainless steel cost $100! I wish KitchenAid can provide some discount for replacement. Now, I have a question, does my model KG25H3XER5 work with this set?
