Discover the microwave that does more. KitchenAid® Countertop Convection Microwaves go beyond reheating and defrosting to air fry, bake, roast and grill. Designed to stand alone on your countertop, this microwave can also be paired with a trim kit (sold separately) for a custom built-in look.

Steam Clean Function

Uses the power of steam to help loosen cooked-on food without the need for harsh cleaners. After running this cycle, just wipe down the inside of the microwave with a damp cloth.

Quick Start Functions

Set or add cook time from 30 seconds up to 6 minutes with a single touch.

Touch-Activated Controls with LED Display

Make it easy to choose settings and track cooking progress at a glance.

Dishwasher-Safe Turntable

Removes for easy cleanup of spills and splatters.

Additional Features

PrintShield™ Finish

Resists smudges and fingerprints. The specialized coating for stainless steel is easy to clean with just water and a soft cloth, so you can spend more time cooking and less time cleaning up.

Built-In Look with Trim Kit (sold separately)

Integrates seamlessly with your kitchen for a custom look within a standard cutout. Available in 27" (MTK1527PZ for KMCS522PPS) and 30" (MTK1530PZ for KMCS522PPS) widths, trim kits (sold separately) allow this microwave to fit beautifully above a single wall oven or on its own.

Air Fry Function

Uses dual heating elements and a fan to circulate hot air around the included air fry basket, crisping and browning food with less oil* and no need to preheat. The basket is dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup.

Oven Functions

For Bake and Roast use dual heating elements to reach temperatures up to 425°F, turning this microwave into an oven for everything from small-batch bakes to a whole roast chicken.

1400-Watt Convection Element

Circulates heat throughout the oven cavity to allow convection baking at temperatures up to 425°F.

Roast Function

Helps maintain the balanced heat distribution required for exceptional roasting by alternating traditional microwave cooking with convection cooking to surround food with heat.

Grill Function

Uses the included basket and a 1300-watt grill element in the top of the microwave to sear, broil and more.

1.5 Cu. Ft. Capacity

Comfortably fits a variety of dishes from bowls to a 9" x 9" casserole dish.

1000-Watt Microwave Cooking Power

Provides high power to heat quickly and thoroughly.

Auto Functions

Provide convenient presets for popular cooking modes, including popcorn, defrost, cook, soften/melt, reheat and keep warm. The microwave will automatically adjust cook time, taking the guesswork out of choosing settings.

Things I know take 2 or 3 minutes; I can microwave just by hitting the 3 button for an automatic 3 minutes. Hit start again for an automatic 30 seconds. Very convenient.

It is not as user friendly as the unit we replaced. was used to a one button set for baked potato, coffee warm up, etc. My wife uses more settings, but I use the start button to reheat my coffee. We have not yet used the air-fryer feature.
