KitchenAid® Over-the-Range Convection Microwave with Air Fry Mode

Go beyond reheating and defrosting with a microwave that does so much more. KitchenAid® Over-the-Range Convection Microwaves combine an air fryer, convection mode, grill mode, steamer and ventilation hood, all in one space-saving appliance that fits above your cooktop or range, freeing up your countertops for more making.

Air Fry Mode

Uses dual heating elements and a fan to circulate hot air around the included air fry basket, crisping and browning food with less oil* and no need to preheat.

*When compared to deep frying.

Dishwasher Safe Air-Fry Basket

Allows air to circulate around food as it cooks.

Convection Cooking Modes

For bake and roast use a 1600-watt convection element to reach temperatures up to 450°F, giving this microwave the ability to convect cook everything from small-batch bakes to a whole roast chicken.

Grill Mode

Uses the included basket and a 1500-watt grill element in the top of the microwave to sear meats, broil veggies and more

Additional Features

Sensor Functions

Automatically adjust the time needed to cook, reheat or defrost your food, removing the guesswork about power levels or cooking times.

1,200 Watts of Microwave Cooking Power

Cooks quickly to boil water, defrost ingredients or warm completed dishes to enjoy again.

Keep Warm Function

Holds the microwave at 10% cooking power to keep cooked foods at serving temperature, allowing you to focus on other steps in your creative process or finish one dish while another rests.

Sensor Steam and Simmer Modes

Make it easy to steam vegetables and seafood or simmer rice and pasta. Just add water to the included steamer container and select what you're making. When a sensor detects the water is boiling, it will start counting down the ideal cook time.

Steam Cleaning Function

Uses the power of steam to loosen cooked-on food without the need for harsh chemical cleaners. After running this cycle, give the inside of the microwave a wipe down with a damp cloth.

I was intrigued by all the features that this KitchenAid microwave offered and we went to Costco to check it out. I had a small air fryer, but It was the convection oven feature that caught my attention. We downsize a couple of years ago and I really miss my double oven. After reading reviews and speaking to a friend who has one of these microwaves, I purchased this microwave at what I think was a very good price. We arranged for delivery and several days later they came and removed my old microwave, installed this one and showed me how to use it. It has, lots of extras that I wasn’t even aware were part of the purchase. There was cookware to use with the air fryer and other extras. So far, I have used the microwave the most, but have also use the air fryer and convection oven successfully. It takes a little playing around with the different options to figure out what works best, but there is a cheat sheet which I have found most helpful.
