This Undercounter Wine Cellar with Full-Extension Wood-Front Racks holds up to 46 standard Bordeaux-size bottles. Two Temperature-Controlled Zones let you separate reds and whites to store each at the temperature you enjoy, and Motion-Activated LED Lighting turns on as you approach, making it easy to see what’s inside. Fully Flush Installation and Panel-Ready Design let you seamlessly match your cabinetry.

Fully Flush Installation with Hidden Hinges for a built-in look

provides a built-in look within a standard 24" base cabinet, so your style stands out, not the appliance. Hidden hinges allow the wine cellar door to sit flush with surrounding cabinet fronts when closed yet easily swing open a full 115 degrees.

46 Standard Wine Bottle Capacity

provides room for 8 Bordeaux-size bottles on each of the five upper racks and 6 Champagne-style bottles on the lower rack. Overall capacity may be lower for collections that include taller or wider bottles in non-standard shapes and sizes.

Panel-Ready Design

allows you to install a custom front panel and handle (not included) over the door to create a seamless look with kitchen cabinetry.

Two Temperature-Controlled Zones

let you separate reds and whites to store and serve each at the temperature you enjoy. Adjust the top zone from 42–54°F for whites and the bottom zone from 42–64°F for reds.

Additional Features

Temperature Monitoring System

uses sensors to monitor temperatures inside the wine cellar for added peace of mind. If the system detects temperatures above 70°F for more than 4 hours, an over-temp alarm and indicator light will alert you that service is needed.

Motion-Activated LED Lighting

turns on inside as you approach, so you can see what's inside without opening the door. Lights will gradually dim and turn off when no longer needed.

SatinGlide® Full-Extension Wood-Front Racks

pull all the way out, making it easy to load bottles in when restocking and find just the one you want when serving. Wood fronts let you coordinate with your home decor.

Backlit Touch Controls

located on the divider between the two temperature zones make it easy to choose settings for what you're storing. The lighted control panel displays current temperatures for each zone and other status alerts.

Door Alarm

alerts you if the door has been left open for five minutes or more and repeats every two minutes until you close the door or touch the controls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LoLoGrains from High Hopes - Fulfilled - and Exceeded! I took a good long time comparing wine coolers. I was initially impressed with ones of similar design from other high-end appliance manufacturers costing twice as much as the KitchenAid Panel Ready 46 bottle unit. Lower cost units were appealing for their cost savings but their construction was loose; things flexed and moved. The KitchenAid Model KUWR214KPA coolers were substantial, tight, and reassuring. Since the wine cooler will be part of my home bar cabinetry, I was drawn to the model that can accept a wood panel. I have the panel completed but haven't attached it yet. It doesn't appear it will be difficult. The wine cooler has been running for 4-5 days out in the free air and initially you can hear the compressor but not at all loud. Once the cooler came to temperature, the wine cooler was virtually silent; not drawing any attention when it cycled on/off. Set to the lowest temperature [42°] the upper section was spot-on (+/- 1°) and the lower section was a few degrees off [46°+/- 2°] but stable. Frankly, I don't have enough bottles of wine to attest to the capacity [I'm working on it!] but in the mean time it's great for bottled water, soda, beer... I'm pleased with my choice. One lesson learned and a slight note of caution: The initial turn-on of the Wine Cooler was delayed by the 'Cool On' selection on the control panel not being illuminated / operable. The unit appeared to 'boot' when plugged in to the wall by illuminating all sections of the control panel, then the two temperature displays came up as "66' '61' and when the display stopped it had only 'Cool Off' illuminated. [should have had 'Cool Off and Cool On' present. Second time, third time the same. After close inspection [looking for a switch or something] I discovered the door switch actuator wasn't moving smoothly and was binding in the hole in the lower panel. When it released, the 'Cool On' appeared and I was able to turn on the unit as per instructions. Afterwards, I removed the bottom panel that was binding and using a drill bit a size larger than the factory hole I was able to ream it out a few fractions and the actuator is moving smoothly... Do your research, but if you choose KitchenAid you will not be disappointed

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marissa V from Great wine fridge for the price point We purchased this a little over 2 months ago and it did take a little bit longer than I had hoped for to get to us. The transit company they used was very nice and professional and on time - which is amazing! As for the unit itself, it is working great. The racks don't hold a variety of bottles so we had to be very picky on what we put in the wine racks. Not all wine bottles are same shape and sizes these days so companies will need to adjust for that. All in all, it's a good fridge for the price point and look forward to many more gatherings and holidays at our new home where this is being used. The photo you will see below is after installation and you will notice we are still waiting on our cabinet door front (locally being made) to go over front of fridge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ChuckG from Frustrations of replacing new unit! I bought this unit a few weeks ago. It was a replacement for basically the same model we had installed in 2009. It was the only unit for undercounter with the ability to add the wood front panel to match the rest of the cabinetry. This unit was more than 2.5 times more expensive. When I received the unit the wood panel mounting was different. The hinges were different and I had to carefully route out a section of the corners so the panel would be able to mount. Then the m4 x 30 mm screws came up missing to mount the panel. I called and Kitchen Aide sent out 4 incorrect screws which I waited 2 weeks to get. I went out and bought my own screws which came about the same time. Front panel was not the only problem. The corner hinges had plastic corners that exceeded the height of the wine cooler and had to be modified to be made shorter. Finally after much frustration the replacement unit is installed and working great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Victim 1 from Very disappointed I bought this a few months ago and came to the conclusion that my one doesn’t come with cosmetic panel. I can blame myself for poor reading. Sadness part is even though I spent about 1500, support told me that I cannot buy panel because I purchased one without a panel. I said if I purchased one with a land some how the panel was broken, it should be purchased or replaced by warranty which means I’ll be able to get the panel. They said no. I can’t buy it. Is this the service kitchen aid is providing? Very poor support after I waited for long time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JayInLA from Where's the handle?! I've looked at this wine fridge on several sites including the kitchenaid site, every single photo showcases the signature Kitchenaid handle. There are cheaper wine fridges out there. I went with this one because it matched my fridge & dishwasher, both of which are Kitchenaid and both of which have the same round, stainless steel handle. This front of this wine cooler looks so different than the photo that I honestly had to check the model number. I was sure they'd sent the wrong one. This is the panel ready model but there is no handle. Worse still, I've called Kitchenaid parts and have been told that there's no handle for this fridge. So WHY is a handle attached in every, single photo of this product? I'm confused, frustrated and already feeling like I'll spend entirely too much time on the phone trying to track down a handle. For a $2000+ wine fridge, I shouldn't have to now have to hunt down a handle that they may or may not make. Considering returning.
