I was so happy when I purchased my very own kitchenaid tilt-head from COSTCO (MODEL NO. KSM105GBCMC). It got chipped near the pour spout but was still useable. My husband was washing it and he felt terrible that it broke. He said it was like it just crumbled. The bowl is thick so how can this happen so easily? Replacement glass bowls are so expensive, are there coupons out there somewhere? It's a shame I've had to put our baking on hold while searching for another bowl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MsRamrod from LOVE IT!! First one I've ever had! I got the KitchenAid Classic K45SSWH for an early Christmas gift. Love everything about. Came with a 4.5 qt stainless bowl. I am use to using a glass bowl with my hand mixer. I've been doing some reading/research I've found that a 5 qt glass bowl will fit my mixer, at least that's what I've read. I want a pouring shield that will fit the glass bowl, but most reviews are saying they aren't sure that there is one.

A glass 13 X 9 pan fell out of the cupboard onto it and they both broke but I ordered a new one right away, wish I would have kept the base because now I have lost the plastic base. Can someone please tell me how I can order a new one?
