We've had it for just over 4 years now and it's still working great. I went to buy another one to have and was disappointed that they are no longer available. I am so impressed by this machine because it has been under heavy usage for all those 4 years (usually 2 full pots almost every day), so I know it's of superior quality and I have been through dozens and dozens of other coffee makers (cheap to high-end). None of them compare to this KitchenAid Architect. Please bring it back!! As for those about cleaning issues. You must follow the cleaning instructions to the letter. It says half full of vinegar and half full of water. You need to make sure you put the vinegar first and just above the 7 cups mark and then fill with water. Make sure you go through the menu button correctly to push the commands at the right moment, and it will clean with no problems. I have never had a coffee maker last over 4 years before, no where near it in fact. One time I had a Cuisinart that lasted almost 3 years. After going through so many coffee makers, when we found this KitchenAid, I had a feeling it was going to be great. So glad I was right about that!
