I have had this bowl for several years now and I am writing this review to attest to its functionality and longevity when used properly with the correct attachments for the machine. I keep the bowl in the freezer so it is already READY for use. My favorite desserts to make are fruit sorbets - they are so very quick and easy! Of course it is KEY is to use all of the parts required for operation. One gentleman (about 5 months ago) posted a photo of a blade that he said "did not fit" his machine: the photo clearly showed he was missing the necessary part that must be placed between the blade and the machine!! I was a bit puzzled to see that KitchenAide did not point this out in their response to this customer. This is a great appliance - that's apparent by the number of 5 star reviews. I can also say that when I had questions I was able to find my answers by calling the Customer Service.
