Very impressed with the look of this block, it is not just a typical block of wood! I am extremely satisfied with the quality construction of the knives. My set is the seven piece set. I find the knives to be sharp, easy to use, functional, and attractive in design. The sharpening steel is of high quality. My hands are small and only three of my fingers fit in the shear handle, this is a perfect fit for my hands but others with large fingers might find the handle openings too small.

I have purchased multiple knife sets in the past and continue to pick up new styles of knives as they are developed. These knives are as sharp the 100th time as they are the very first time. Since they color coordinate other KitchenAid Products that I own, they look wonder on my counters.

I love each and every one of them, especially the paring knife because of the wider blade and comfortably smaller handle which fits my hand perfectly. Each knife is perfectly balanced which makes them a pleasure to use and food preparation .enjoyable. I find no cons for this set which says a lot since I have had many types of knives over the years and none match their quality, feel, and performance. As a result all my other knives are in a drawer where they will soon be donated. I am so proud to have these beautiful knives on display on my counter top. A WINNING COMBINATION !!
