Rated 5 out of 5 by JustinK from Solid I originally bought the Sodastream plastic version which quit before the first bottle of gas was empty. Checked online for reviews and it clearly showed that these plastic versions will not last. Did some research online and found out the Kitchenaid version showed really good reviews with few problems. So far it's working perfectly.

Just recently when i replaced the air cannisters the unit started to escape air when trying to carbonate some water. I love the unit but would like to understand how to get if fixed or replaced. Please advise

Rated 4 out of 5 by rbtexas from Product enhancement I love my KitchenAid and use it daily. The only downside is that you can only use it for water. There are other brands that work for beverages other than water (juice, wine....). If water is your only use it works well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jerri from Problem after 6 months Loved this soda machine however after having for about 6 month it now does not work. I have tried three new tanks and it will not carbonate. Very frustrating for the cost and expected it to work longer than six months. Thought the quality was better but am very disappointed since I cannot use anymore.

Rated 2 out of 5 by kandh0913 from Nice design, but it leaks We have had this for about 6 years. It works well but recently has been making a ton of noise. Very loud and higher pitched. We use a 60L canister and it is dry after maybe 15 times using it. We don't add a lot of bubbles. I think that the carbonator is now leaking CO2. Maybe it is good for a few years but after that I wouldn't recommend this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Michelle M from Poor Investment I received the beverage maker as a gift approximately three years ago. It worked magnificently for the first two years. I was very pleased with the product. Suddenly, the bottles are no longer locking into the machine. I purchased new bottles and those do not work either. It seems the plastic mechanism which secures the bottle is malfunctioning and there is no replacement part for it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ihora from Great design, poor inside quality I imported this product to Europe, as I really love KitchenAid, and I wanted to have this one at home right after its launch. After 2 years, it stopped carbonating - the relief valve is defective. Though outside of the appliance lookes solid, the key inside elements are made from cheap plastics, which does not give much chance for long life of the machine. No I can only throw away, as I do not have chance to get it serviced in my country. Great design, big dissapointment with the quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by UptownH from Expected more out of Kitchenaid I have been a loyal kitchenaid customer due to the quality of the products until purchased This soda stream. Do not waste your money, I bought this less than a year ago and started noticing that the machine would not carbonate and would leak a small amount of air when you finish draining the 30 dollar canister within a day. I am sure they will not back the product up I am very disappointed to say the least. Back to my cheap plastic one that never failed me !
