STEP 1: PREHEAT YOUR KITCHENAID® COUNTERTOP OVEN
Preheat your countertop oven or toaster oven to 450° F on the Bake setting. If your toaster oven does not have a Bake setting, you can also use the Toast function.
STEP 2: PROCESS FRESH GARLIC
Using your KitchenAid® food processor, process the fresh garlic for about 15 seconds or until finely chopped. Scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula or spoon.
STEP 3: PROCESS PARMESAN CHEESE
Add the parmesan cheese and continue processing for about 30 seconds.
STEP 4: PROCESS OTHER INGREDIENTS
Add the butter, oil, salt and pepper to the food processor and process until smooth or about 15 seconds. Consider making your own fresh butter or grinding your own spices if you’d like an even more homemade taste.
STEP 5: CUT BREAD & SPREAD MIXTURE
Cut your loaf of bread in half and then again lengthwise. Spread each piece of bread with the garlic mixture. For extra freshness, consider making homemade bread with your KitchenAid® stand mixer.
STEP 6: BAKE BREAD
Place two pieces of bread in your countertop oven with the garlic butter side face-up. Bake the bread for about 10-12 minutes or until it is toasted to your desired doneness.
STEP 7: BROIL, IF DESIRED
For crispier bread, and if your countertop oven allows, broil the bread for about 2 minutes on high heat. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and fresh, finely minced herbs beforehand to make a cheesy garlic bread.
STEP 8: REMOVE & REPEAT
Remove the bread carefully from your countertop oven with a spatula and oven mitt. Repeat the baking and broiling with the other two pieces of bread.
STEP 9: SERVE & ENJOY
Serve your garlic bread alongside a range of dishes or as the perfect base for your favorite sandwich.
