Alexandra Bruzzese is an American freelance food and travel writer based in Rome, Italy. Her work has been featured in Lonely Planet, The Guardian, Culture Trip, Where Rome Magazine, and others.
In her third year of college she packed her bags and set off for Bologna to fulfill her childhood ambition of mastering Italian, the native language of her grandparents. Over a decade and many grammar mistakes later, she finds herself fluent in Italian and blissfully still in her adopted country. She particularly enjoys daily cappuccinos with her spaniel mix Nina and exploring Italy’s islands. When she is not eating pasta, she is thinking about eating pasta.
