Kayla Stewart is a freelance food and travel journalist from Houston, Texas and based in Harlem. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, NYMag’s Grub Street, Bon Appétit, Travel + Leisure, America’s Test Kitchen, Heated by Mark Bittman, Civil Eats, Serious Eats, Texas Monthly, and others.
In addition to her work as a journalist, Kayla served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Semarang, Indonesia, and she holds a joint master’s degree in International Relations and Journalism. In her free time, she can be found exploring museums, trying new food, planning her next trip, or running in Harlem.
